A Dream
It led me to the distant land –
The land of beauty and delight,
Of greenest trees and softest sands.
It showed me the amazing grace
Of waterfall I knew not of;
I followed it at gentle pace
To small and cozy shady grove.
And then it turned to far-off mounts,
Which towered above all the land;
Through mists we went to those new grounds –
I hoped the journey wouldn’t end.
From highest peak I looked downwards
And saw the spider’s web of chasms;
The tranquil sea and rocky wards
Defending beauty of these lands.
I fell down on my knees in bliss,
Not able to let out a sound…
But then awakened, letting this
World take its rightful place around.
And though I know it’s just a dream,
I hope it will return one day;
That’s why I wait for light to beam
At window of my house again.
