Makes Me Believe

Staring at the empty page.
So lost and upset. Thrown out of my stage.
Overwhelming misery
Removes me from life. It’s easy to see.

Who could bless me, who could give me power?
Who can help me just to rise again?
Here’s my soul – it’s like a poisoned flower,
Withering in never-ending pain.

Silence around. It makes me believe in cry.

On the cross-roads of my fate
It’s hard to move on. But why should I wait?
Brightest good and deadliest sin –
Two parts of my heart I’m tossing between.

Here I’m like a ship without an anchor
In the deep blue waters of my life.
Trying to suppress my hate and anger
Shredding me just like the sharpest knife.

Smile on your face. It makes me believe in peace.

When you smile to me this way
I’m happy so much. What else can I say?
Send me one more pretty smile.
I’ll keep it within, and not for a while.

Now I see – I need it more than ever.
It’s the compass, it’s the guiding star.
Will my sacred journey last forever?
I will walk, but I don’t know how far.

Shadows around. They make me believe in light.
