Take a frog that's green as grass
Under brightly shining stars
Tell it words YOU only know
Say them twice: first fast then slow
Let it go to jump to lake
Sit and wait all night awake
When the wind starts blowing hard
Take your chimney clock apart
Fix it back but contrarwise
Then make sure it's ticking nice
Sing a song about a frog
Chop 3-year-old poplar log
Make a fire and call a guest
Brew some tea and have some rest
Ask your friend to turn around
Dig old wine from underground
Give it to your lady friend
Let her drink it to the end
She will croak and swim like fish
For 3 hours. She'll make a wish
She must find the frog you'd met
Tell her wish and make a bet:
If your friend can jump the first
To your house and not get lost
Then a wish she made that night
Will come true within fortnight
