Awakening

Dreams, dreams,
Where are your sweets?
Where are you, where are you,
My nighly gladness, joy, my pleasure?
There dissappeared it,
Joyful dream,
And lonely
In the deep darkness
I was awakening.
There around the bed
Deathly- still night is.

There in a flash, grew cool
And flew away
In a body away,
Love dreams.
But still full
Of wish the soul is
And catches the dream’s
Recollections.
Oh love, love,
Hear the prayers:
Send me again
Your sights, visions,
And early in the morning,
Newly intoxicated with,
Let me have
Eternal sleep.
