Three days of former celebrations,
Three days of former great good will,
According to the law and nature
New Year’s longing to appeal.
It brings approaching sudden changes,
Rotation’s constancy all round,
Birth ‘s joyful outcome like a bound
And the infirmities of ages,
Falls, flights captivity’s fatigues
And emptiness of false intrigues.
This will be easily forgiven
If chapter one again is given.
