winter solstice
-------------------------
These dull shortest days and deep longest nights
when darkness and shadow govern
I feel deeply insane
submerged
under the black blue of ultimate wane
These blue gloomy days and disturbed longest nights
white winter winds
weep a long lullaby
to someone
deep in the old cracked mirror
These shadow days and infinite nights
I still wonder
if the slow rusty wheel of my being
is going to start
another
long round
of
eternal vanity
These gray dim days and the hopeless black nights
I am dragging
through
like a blind one
groping about
a new
illusory hope
for either reliving
or the ultimate rest
Crossing the crossroad
of
the Winter Solstice.

That's a beautiful poem.
In the last line, the definite article is missing (unlike in the title, it is needed here). Also in the next to the last line something else is probably missing or misprinted - I have hard time processing this line.
Over time you poetic self is becoming more assertive in English.
Nice!

Definitely, your critiques help me to develop my skill.
Yes, both two last lines (and some other ones) made me feel unsure. Nevertheless intuitively I don't want to place "the" in the last line. Something inside me protests against it.
Made several revisions and placed the revised version below the original one, just to keep it for a while.
By the way, this time I finally recognized the form of sonnet in your poem of the same title! It's wonderful!

Sometimes our intuition in the second language is not that developed to lead us in the right direction. Trust me, the article is nesessary in the last line or seek the second opinion for that matter. I really like this piece and wish you could make it perfect in all aspects.
Best wishes,
Dina
