There’s something in my life that always
Lights up my path where’er I go,
For which I thank God in my prayers,
For which to Him I so much owe.
Since the beginning of creation
For many centuries a row
I had been seeking for elation
And found it in your rarest soul.
Your whole being is urgent calling
With which I cannot but abide,
For long before the sun came rolling
Your sparkling eyes had been my guide.
