DAUGHTER TEACHES FATHER

The waters are drowning me
All that’s left to feel is my heart beat
What once was flesh has now turned to ice
The weariness of the night shows no hope for salvation

All hope is gone
My mind can’t come to senses with the confusion
Of why I’m still fighting to live
Fighting for one broken breath

My mind can’t come to senses with how I got here
How my life slipped from my grip
My mind can’t come to senses with the question WHY???
Is there use for a scream in the night that won’t be heard?

Only now, as my life flashes before me do I realize…

It was you!!! It’s all so clear now
It was you my daughter who never lost hope
It was you who prayed even when there was no answer
It was you who sat and listened, even through the hardest times
It was your humbleness that healed me

Why I’m still fighting to live
Fighting for one more broken is because of you my love

It was you who still loved me when you were broken from my words
It was you who believed in miracles
It was through you that God chose to teach me

The irony in this amazes me
Daughter teaches father
It is you, it is me…you were made for me.
God only knows all our broken pieces.

So we came from different cities,
And we came from different towns.
Some of us we’re serious,
And some of us we’re clowns.

Won’t  forget
all the blessed prayers.
All the tears and joy,
everyone cared.

Always singing mi odna simya,
Always chanting booyakasha.

Keep on thinking
times will never change,
Keep on thinking
things will always be the same.





Class of 09 - Friends forever!

We’re thankful for the leaders
and thankful for the rules.
For without them we just
wouldn’t make it through

The whole class
in unity agrees,
“Yura have mercy,
no more chapters please!”

For Bogdan we ask
remember class of ’09,
And laugh about the times
we went out of line.

Your part of the reason
that we changed.
And  because of you
we’ll never be the same.

And this is how it feels…
As we go on we remember,
All the times we had together.
As our lives change from whatever,
We will still be friends forever!

God brought us all here
for a special reason.
That we would be fruitful
during a new season.

To go out and preach
to all the nations.
So our Lord Jesus Christ
can bring salvation.

Will we think about tomorrow
like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there?
Can we make it somehow?

I guess we thought
that this would never end,
and suddenly it's like
we're women and men.

And this is how it feels…
As we go on we remember,
All the times we had together.
As our lives change from whatever,
We will still be friends forever!

Will the past be a shadow
that will follow us around?
Will these memories fade
when we leave this town?

I keep thinking
that it's not goodbye,
Keep on thinking
it's a time to fly!!!!!

Cause we're moving on
and we can't slow down.
These memories are playing
like a film without sound.

And we would get so excited
and we'd get so scared.
Laughing at ourselves
thinking life's not fair.

I’m still, yet my world
spins in slow motion
How I long to be in your presence
for one more second

For a moment more
I long for your calm
to drape my heart
For it beats for you

Your spirit is
washing over me
I’m like a caterpillar
shedding its layers

I do not need them anymore
for I am new

Given wings to spread and fly

When things go wrong

when things go wrong as they sometimes will
when the road you're trudging seems all uphill
when the funds are low and the debt is high
and you wanna smile but you have to sigh
when life is pressing you down a bit
rest if you must but dont you quit
success is failure turned inside out
the silver tint of the clouds of doubt
you never can tell how close you are
it may be near when it seems afar
so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
its when things go wrong that you mustent quit
trust in god
learning how to trust god defines
the meaning of christian living

this is when i was flying to ukraine
june 6
even tho its the end i know its the start of something so new and amazing.what lies ahead for us we
have yet to discover. i believe the best part of this christian life is the constant change. the
change in my surroundings, and the people around me, and the change in me.jesus is the source of
life. and i refuse to be left behind. because no one else will do and i will take hold of him
jesus is my rescue. he captured me with grace. i will follow him because this world has nothing for
me. my mind still cant come to senses with where life with jesus has taken me and i know its just
 the beginning. i pray im ready for what is coming my way. jesus keep me safe and guard my heart.
keep my eyes on you but if i happen to look away please go and stand where my eyes astray. and never
let go. forgive me for my wrong. make me more and more like you. i love you and want you to be my
best friend. jesus i lay everything down at your feet. all my hopes and dreams are in you alone.
because you alone are worthy. jesus i will try my best to stay focused on you.you see my distractions.
lord give me wisdom strength and patience for this.and something to hope for, something real.let
the holy spirit guard my heart."if god is with us, then who can be against us"
