Stranger

Stranger
(sergei@ptd.net Sergei Polischouk 04/05/1989)

A stranger who comes to your home
Give him bread, and he’ll give you s sleepless night
A bird with a broken wing
Can’t fly for long, it needs the spring

You will hardly be able to fall asleep
If he’ll sing to you about love
When the bird wants to go on its way again
Give it bread to eat and water to drink

Maybe he has already knocked on your door
Maybe you just lost the key
And no war happens without loss
And peace will never come, if there are still swords

Life began in the garden and shall return there
Whoever has known love, will continue to live
Everyone will shine if he has a star
Everyone will be a servant when service is needed

I hear the birds already started to sing
Leaves on the Tree of Love continue to wait
It seems to me it’s time for the fruits to ripen
Time will come soon to reap the harvest

The sun still warms me and you like before
Night has gone, but we never slept
I would like to fly away, and get to know myself
Fly toward the garden, toward the spring
