The Inner Light

If they ask me about how I feel today
I’ll tell them - “good” at least, because I like to pave my way.
I never waste my time, because I came to Earth to play
My mission is all about bringing to people just what I say.
I represent the freedom of hearts, the freedom of minds
I let myself forgive them for the blindness, for all their crimes.
If uncle Sam does nothing, but the havoc that he cries
I give it back to them and they can feel it in my rhymes.
We can’t let them control the way we live, control our lives
We can’t let them poison our hearts or let them spoil our minds.
If they wanted to stop corruption, they wouldn’t take bribes
They keep on bringing destruction, while praying to Jesus Christ.
This is the time to wake up and to create something new
This is the time to blur all the lines between me and you
No matter how hard they try
To keep the blanket of night
The incorruptible right we have
Life out of Light.
