Why are you so surprised?
I'm no longer apart
I'm helped and advised.
By my Father who dwells
In the Heavens above
In the Scripture He tells
About justice and love.
I have faith I have hope
In the promise He made
And His blood is that soap
Which cleansed me and saved
I'm no longer attached
To the things of this world
By your Spirit I touched
In my mind in my soul
I'm faithful and strong
In trials and snare
And I'm singing this song
As for you to take share
In the peace of my heart
So you won't be surprised
Be no longer apart
Be too helped and advised.
