Words On The Water
Nine hours of emptiness spent in exile
Nobody heard what I said
I've been talking to the walls, I saw they smile
Pain scattered razors on my bed
The rivers of sleep
Are high waters deep
I slide them down in the vortex of time
I hide from the mirrors
Avoid my eyes in splinters
And demons laugh as the angels throw a dime
All I try to say
My words will fly away
As meaningless as praying
Before the slaughter
No one hears my voice
I quit and that's my choice
So welcome to my dreams
And read my words on the waters
