Inner longings

I'm dreaming of a countryside,
Where I can see my home...
Where I and my eternal bride
would live safe and alone.
The sun would shine, the grass be green,
A total peace of mind.
And nothing terrible and mean
Would ever be to find.
Dark woods and fields of natural gold
Would whisper in the night.
We'd raise our children and grow old
Together in our pride.
Those are just dreams, but I feel sure
When they flash through my head,
I know - they're innocent and pure,
On inner longings fed.
