I had a dream

I had a dream- and you were there-
I saw you on the Market Square
The girl I love, the friend I miss
I gave you flower and a kiss
You touch was soft- your smile was sweet
We walked and talked on Perry Street
And when we passed St Ann’s Clock tower
I said-it’s closer by the hour
And when again it starts to chime-
You will be mine- till the end of time
But- sudden light- I blink my eye
I’m waking up so far away-
My love, wait up- I want to stay.
I shout to you my last goodbye:
“I’ll see you at St-Patrick alter…”
And realize- it’s morning after
