Symphony of Doom
My eyes are blind
Of the ashen land
I do not regret
A ghastly glow in the smoky dark
The gentle warmth of the rising sun
I recall my forsaken name
I recall my abandoned way
A rain cloud absorbs the air
A liquid drop falls to my eyes
A thunder roars in the shadows
A lightening grasps the gloomy skies
I see the faces of trees
Their grieving smiles beyond the leaves
The forest beckons me to come within
To leave the ashes of the burning sin
If there were angels I would say
They cry the tears of shattered love
Thus the rain whips the earth
Of the sky so dark
