I will not blame you for not loving...

I will not blame you for not loving me,
For human heart can never be commanded
As never can affection be demanded,
For precious gift it always meant to be.

I will not say that probably was cruel
Of you to keep my heart with love inflamed;
You didn’t realize what you were doing,
Nor ever you intended causing pain.

I will not think that, maybe, was unfair
Of you to play with heart that held you dear,
It wasn’t you to start the silly game.

What now I believe in, sad, alone,
That I perhaps should turn my heart to stone,
So it will not be tortured again.

Feb 2006.
I forever devote it to A.

Oh! It's beautiful! I think it's great for poet writing in English! Who is your favourite English poet? If you don't mind:

My soul is dark – Oh! quickly string
The harp I yet can brook to hear;
And let thy gentle fingers fling
Its melting murmur o’er mine ear.
If in this heart a hope be dear,
That sound shall charm it forth again:
If in these eyes there lurk a tear,
‘Twill flow, and cease to burn my brain.
But bid the strain be wild and deep,
Nor let thy notes of joy be first:
I tell thee, minstrel, I must weep,
Or else this heavy heart will burst;
For it had been by sorrow nursed,
And ached in sleepless silence long;
And now ‘tis doomed to know the worst,
And break at once – or yield to song
