No smell of roses without pain from thorns
The sun is kissing me with tender rays…
Of summer, coming soon, my heart is unaware
In that March evening it forever stays…
How many days have gone, how many tears
Were shed to kill my love, accept the painful truth?
Illusions lost forever, dreams refused…
Why keep in mind that tenderness I dare?
You presence got me drunk like no wine,
Your lips were sweet like famous Irish liquor…
I feared to believe my dreams could realize
Was I awake or was I sleeping?
I was afraid to wake up in the darkness,
No light of love, again lost and alone
Without you…and stayed with closed eyes,
Lost in the dreams I wanted to prolong…
In love forgetting pride and losing mind -
I later wished to stab myself for that!
Although memories I dared keep alive
Despite the agony of merciless regrets.
Be happy, dearest – no bitterness nor tears,
Today, I know, I should forever leave you…
Please keep the smell of roses...don't fear -,
The pain from thorns I'll easily forgive you.
