Ladder to Heaven

The skies count up to seven
To get to Paradise.
A ladder leads to Heaven,
Spun of thin ropes and ties...

Some stubborn souls are busy.
They`re never looking down,
Avoiding feeling dizzy,
While looking back to ground.

Some ban away their fear
And sometimes `re looking back.
The more their aim is near,
The more skies turn to black!

Some stumble on the edges
And breathless fall on earth,
To turn to Fallen Angels
Between the Death and Birth.

The ones who made to Heaven
Inquire in surprise:
We reached the Level Seven,
But where`s the Paradise..?
...
The skies count up to seven
To get to Paradise.
A ladder leads to Heaven,
Spun of thin hopes and lies.

Wow, I liked this poem too;)) but did the idea come up from Led Zeppelin song?

Thanks again!!
The idea itself is definetely very old and can be traced back to the Old Testament.
Led Zeppelin`s "Stairway to Heaven", is one of my favourite songs, especially the guitar solo is sure the masterpiece ever since...
Though the lyrics is (as u surelly know)quite different..
I would say, that I`ve borrowed the idea from the Old Testament:))))
Yours truly
Alla
