The time is pacing through the night,
But I won't fall asleep.
I am alone, it is alright,
And I know what I need.
I would be sleeping in your arms -
But you are never here.
I would be singing you sometimes,
But you're too far to hear.
I would be holding tight your hands
And listen to your voice.
I doubt you'll ever understand
Why I have made this choice.
A word in whisper, slightest thought,
And just a glimpse of eyes -
I think that's all I want to know
Before the Sun will rise.
Tomorrow will be all the same,
As if it would be true...
Someone will gently call my name -
