Frozen Flame
The passion's heat's a wild bonfire,
A spark of hope, a torch of fate,
The fireworks - excitement's trait.
But jealousy's an evil flame -
A savage beast, that's hard to tame,
A blazing rage, that seethes your soul,
That makes your heart a piece of coal.
That burns to ashes all your dreams,
That never stops or slows, it seems.
That knows your weaknesses and fears.
Your screams are music to its ears.
It draws you in and spits you out,
It likes to hear you cry and shout,
Until your flesh is black and torn,
To watch you suffer, crush and burn.
Just then you turn around and laugh
You say: I'm bored now, that's enough.
My painful struggle's all in vain -
I've lost, I am delirious, insane.
My mind is numb, my soul is dead,
I'm calm, but I'm still seeing red.
My sizzling heart's no one's to claim,
My spirit is a frozen flame.
