To Be a Woman

Neither your hair's shining wave,
Nor delicate skin, so soft, so fine...
It's none of this which makes men crave
For you and make them feel divine.

Your beauty's just your fine skin's deep.
Your charming smile so quickly dies,
It's none of that which makes them creep
To you and causes all their lies.

Your eyes are nothing like the sun,
Your heart is never kind or true,
But on the Bible or Koran
They pray for you and die for you.

But what is stronger than your will?
What's more eternal than your face?
What makes you in a word ideal?
What's hidden there - in your gaze?

Neither your movements full of grace,
Nor your compassion, nor your soul...
To love you takes just one embrace.
To be a Woman, that is all.
