For the Beauty
Once I saw You I knew there was Beauty
In the world which just burst into tears…
You – no babe, no boo, no cool, no cutie,–
Beauty, that does not admit frontiers.
Once You spoke I learnt Imagination,
Captivating me and worlds I drew;
You – no lie, no show – but pure Creation,
Which makes dreams of day by kiss come true.
So romantic, don’t accept the reason
Choosing our One-to-love at random,
Not for long then spreading our wings on,
We go on our lives with love so seldom…
So romantic – just admit
So romantic – that we meet
So romantic, so mad, so smart –
But Atlantic keeps us apart…
Once I knew You I got heaven-higher,
There’s no fear, no doubt, no trouble I ran.
Me – no slave, no captive, but Desire,
Worshipper of second my best man.
Once I met You I got yours for ever,
All I needed was the only “please” –
Silent stayed You – tempting, charming, clever,
Leaving no “to be or not to be”‘s.
So romantic, don’t accept the reason
Choosing our One-to-love at random,
Not for long then spreading our wings on,
We go on our lives with love so seldom…
So romantic – just admit
So romantic – that we meet
So romantic, so mad, so smart –
But Atlantic keeps us apart…
Once I saw You I knew there was Beauty
In the world of tears I’ve got to chant:
You – no colour bleak, no line diluted –
Beauty, that could save the world, but can’t.
