In the middle of the night -
When I can't sleep,
And the look of your green eyes
Still lies on me,
I will turn off all the lights -
Just not to see
How alone I am tonight,
And that it's real.
You will never come to find
How sad I feel,
And you'll never tell me why
You did not hear.
Though I may just simply hide
Behind my tears,
Life will never be so bright
With all these fears.
I will neither scream, nor cry -
It would not heal
All my sorrow that's inside...
I don't believe
That you would resist those lies -
You never will;
You forgot me, otherwise
You would be here.
