Depth

Devour me, oh mighty seas,
Thy grief I was, your faithful slave.
A saviour deaf to all your pleas,
A lying one that could not save.
What now? serene in one's deep cave,
Beneath the waters, sleepy mile,
I feel it painfully, each wave
An overweight of my exile.
Again a devastating chance
To ruin what was never built
A nightmare was your weary glance
A shade of death upon my guilt.
