They played high in the sky and waited
Upon the dawn to come and reign
To scatter dew among the herbage
To grow pearls for beady rains.
And larks were laughing and contented
With their busy starting morn
To see the fruit of ripening treasure
To cheer wakening early May.
Here comes July, it’s cold and wintry
Electric blanket warm and dry
And only dreams disturb my napping
Remind of jolly summer time.
