I wish I could fly...
We’d teach our children justice from within
And now, the warmest evening’s done,
Grey city ends the story that should never have begun…
And so, the days will run as fast as they should do
I’ll run with them, one half instead of two,
I’ll sleep and wake, I’ll eat and drink my wine
I’ll take it all, all sorrow to be mine.
Forget the speeches by the riverside,
Forget the coldest winds we had to fight,
The yellow light of streets revealed your face –
All that is memory and it should leave no trace.
My tiny figure, trembling on the bridge
Freedom’s daughter watching borders to infringe
I wish I could forget the gravity and fear
I’d shout: “I FLY!!!” and surely you would hear!
I’d leave the cities, differing only by their names,
I’d leave those people playing silly games,
I’d chase the clouds and talk to birds –
I’d leave the past behind me, though it hurts!
“But what’s the use of holding it inside?” –
So say my parents, talking of my pride.
I’ll lock my heart, I’ll quietly take this turn
And maybe there will be the day when you return…
For some there is a definite way,
Others act just how their leaders say
For some there are sweet dreams made true
But not for me; maybe for you?...

P.S. At the moments, when I want to become closer to the sky, I go to the roof. It's the place, where it's easy to believe that your dreams will come true
