When the stars appeared in the sky,
When the windows lit in the darkness.
I felt loneliness, felt like crying,
I listened to the whisper of the silence.
I could not stay in my empty place,
Wanted someone who could make my space.
I left home at night to walk through a park,
Sniffing air, watching through the dark.
When the moon lost its way in the clouds,
When the wind blew a candle out.
You felt loneliness being on your own,
Listening to the silence when you are alone.
You could not find someone to be with,
With whom to speak, to cuddle and to kiss.
You left home at night to take a walk
Through a park to find someone to talk.
You appeared on my lonely pass.
I could not believe that both of us
Were walking through that oldish park,
Looking for each other to ignite that spark.
