Thanks for the time that together we spent
For the joy of the moment every night and each day.

Thank you for patience that now I possess
I can’t suffer the pain, only feel I have strength.

Thank you for being so cruel to me
It’s the wise and old lesson that some people need.

Thank you for being not entirely mine
Though the only you were whom I really liked.

Thanks that I was just a beautiful doll
I agree - I accepted and it was my own choice.

Thanks for the fact that we aren’t alike
There was something common but your aim wasn’t right.

Thanks that with you I was not who I am
I pretended to be scarlet rose without shame

Thanks that you are not the dream that I’ve seen
Not the person I thought you could possibly be.

Thanks for the failure to guess who I am
All my secrets I’ll keep deep inside till the end.

Thank you for wishing that I went away
It’s been long since I knew how little you cared.

Yes, my friend, I do thank you right here, right now
Without any regret in this strange little rhyme.

Only two simple words for the lesson of life -
Thank you, darling. Forget me, I tell you – goodbuy.
