Faceless Years
FACELESS YEARS
(Lyrics by Curtis Ayles)
I’m not a kind of man that you might hear about
The pages of my life they have been written out
Under the autumn sky I feel my loneliness
It’s hard to take these faceless days
Carry me to the shore line
Where the waves meet the land
Teach me to walk on water
Some day I’ll understand
When the rain is coming closer
All my life looks so hopeless
When the sky is raining over again
You can hear the sound of my tears
Like reflection of my faceless years
Love is an only thing she wants to talk about
She needs it every day as she can’t do without
Under the autumn sky the same old words I'll say
Before it’s time to walk away
Carry me to the shore line
Where the waves meet the land
Teach me to walk on water
Some day I’ll understand
When the rain is coming closer
All my life looks so hopeless
When the sky is raining over again
You can hear the sound of my tears
Like reflection of my faceless years
Carry me to the shore line
Where the waves meet the land
Teach me to walk on water
Some day I’ll understand
When the rain is coming closer
All my life looks so hopeless
When the sky is raining over again
You can hear the sound of my tears
Like reflection of my faceless years
It’s reflection of my faceless years
It’s reflection of my faceless years

Came to stand still
Journey
Reached the end
Here is
Nothing
To be found
Came all the way
To find
Nothing
Nothing...
-------------------
You know, there's something hidden in these words, and I wonder why your poem reminded me of those abovementioned lines. There is an opinion that there is nothing in the end, you see what I'm talking about? As if the light in the end of the tunnel is a fake.
