To Be or Not

"What if to live is to be dead,
And to be dead is but to live."
How vain the claret grief we shed,
If death has nobler life to give.

What if the body is a tomb,
The fertile soil of sacred light;
Upon the temp'ral death, a womb,
From which the spirit soars in flight.

What if the lie that blinds the eye,
Conceals the breadth of treachery?
Unveil the truth, each spirit try,
Regard the Cosmic mystery!

What if the Earth is mere Hell?
(We all were cast but under spell),
And Cerberus keeps watching us
Not let us into Paradise…

Actually, I liked yours one the moment I saw it. But I have such a silly custom to write a line or two in response...
Sorry.

Yours,
Irina

No I loved it and I must confess I often do the very same thing. It is wonderful to be so inspired. Hugs Sue
