Two Sides of Love

Love is utter but it has two sides
One is possessive, the other friendly.
Which acts right now? Who decides?
To make it tender or force it badly?

Coin's flipped and side is chosen.
It almost never stops on edge.
Heart beats faster or sinks frozen.
To give up here or turn a page.

Depression, jealousy and fear
Engrave the coin head design.
Self-reliance and thinking clear,
They represent the tail sign.

Easy sex with retch next morning,
Regrets and guilt panging within.
But touching, kissing and dissolving,
Then gotten back fresh to begin.

Work hard and fight, hope and risk,
As trained hand gets mostly tails.
Learn and change, laugh and frisk,
Who never stops he never fails.
