The Thunderstorm
After sultry, thirsty days,
Waiting: Thunderstorm will come,
At last you see the signs of rain.
You hear ‘em in the stronger wind,
You see ‘em in the cloudy sky,
You feel in air with charge within,
You tell to everyone “It’s time!”
Come on, Thunder, nearer, nearer
The sunset turned the day to night.
To someone comes the ancient fear
With the flash of lightning strike!
So, the Thunderstorm has come
Darker, than the usual night.
Besides the flashes you’re almost blind,
You see the world in moment sight!
Drops of rain pound in the ground,
The water streams fill dusty streets,
Noise and Thunder- music sounds,
New river washes your naked feet.
