Against the seeping darkness of the sky
Against the sightless millions of stars
Like blood of fallen angels in the night
Red galaxies protrude as thousand scars
With power of eternity within
They light our mortal deeds and laugh at us
And as our lives fly by and new begin,
Mere seconds of their lives have only passed.
Soft and unyielding glow gives godly grace
To strange and twisted clouds of beyond,
Obstinate dream that we forever chase
Of reaching stars, which, but a few, are gone
It’s possible that nature in itself
Engraved this fervent longing in our hearts
We look up at the sky, this giant well
The universe condenses into us
And witnessing this slow and endless change
We realize, our lives defined as such,
The splashes of a momentary flame
Consuming instantly a fragile match
Burning Match
