Десять негритят собрались пообедать,
Один вдруг поперхнулся — и их осталось девять.

Девять негритят уселись под кокосом,
Один из них заснул — и их осталось восемь.

Восемь негритят поплыли в Ноттингем,
Один из них пропал — и их осталось семь.

Семь глупых негритят на дуб решили влезть,
Один из них упал — и их осталось шесть.

Шесть негритят у пчел решили меду взять,
Закусан был один — и их осталось пять.

Пять глупых негритят судейство учинили,
Один в тюрьму попал — и стало их четыре.

Четыре негритенка купались до зари,
Один ко дну пошел— и их осталось три.

Три глупых негритенка опомнились едва,
Но тут пришел медведь — и их осталось два.

Два глупых негритенка взялись топить камин,
Один из них сгорел — остался жив один.

Последний негритенок не делал ничего,
Когда же он женился, не стало никого!

One little nigger boy living all alone;
He got married, and then there were none.
