that dream

i see love slowly fading away
i see myself crying on the floor
asking her to stay
but she doesn't live here anymore

i see my shattered dreams
they shall never come true
they're in the middle of a spider's web
they cannot break through

i see this world falling apart
as darkness covers me
i see my broken heart
drowning in the depths of the sea

i see my beautiful romeo
with a bullet in his head
and i'm the one who pulled a trigger
my romeo is dead

and then i see God
i come to Him and ask Him "WHY?"
He says: "because you didn't believe
and you were too scared to try

for fear of having your heart broken
you hesitated for much too long
you lost your faith and lost your hope
can't find a place where you belong"

He turns and walks away
i fall on my knees and pray
please give me another chance
i'll change my ways today

i feel the sun shining on my face
and i smile as i wake up
for as long as i live
i promise i shall believe
and i shall never stop
