English poetry

***
Do you like him?
Do you know him?
Do you feel the things
You show him?
Do you try
To understand him
When you feel
Like you can't stand him?
Do you know
The way he smiles?
Do you change
The tears to laughter?
Do you overcome the miles
To be happy ever after?

***
The things you never knew, once known by me
The contradictive words, the strong objections
The promises that given seriously
Are lies that brings the pain of satisfaction
The understanding eyes, the trembling lips
The hands long for a kiss, the sorrow smiles
The mouth that telling tales though silence keeps
The distance... close enough but changed to miles
The tender soul, the secret unrevealed
The farewell - the killing separation
That follows later, is so calm and still...
The endless story of you own salvation

***
 Another war was somehow over
Over years that leg behind
If you had tried at least to know her
She would have let you blow her mind

Not going out but staying sober
On your own with all your doubts
You realise the war is over
She is gone, you have no chance

And you regret the days you let her
Be what she wanted you to be
And playing fast and loose you left her
Here it is - your misery

 Whatever comes along with daylight
 Whatever brings another war
You're living through the pain that you might
 Not ever see her anymore

***
You were supposed to be the one
To fill my world with sense and feeling
You were supposed to come undone
To be inside, to find me thrilling
You were supposed to be a drop
 Of water saving starving deserts
You were supposed to never stop
To be unnoticed in my presence
You were supposed to be behind
To never let me taste the sorrow
You were supposed...well.... Nevermind
You are my past that comes tomorrow...

* * *
There’s no tomorrow for us anymore
I gave it up to be lonely forever
You went away and I stand at the door
I was the fool to show you I’m too clever
You’ll never know the warmth of my arms
You’ll never feel my hugs and my kisses
Living your life just to see there’s no chance
Of bringing her back…
Though she loves and she misses….
