tell me a story, a fable, a lie
how you and I never said a “good-bye”
tell me how we never lost our game
to timing, excuses so foolish and lame

tell me a story where happiness wins
carrying us so far away on its wings
far from dilemas, far from the guilt
into the castle for you and I built
 
built by ungodly angels of fate
hiding the reason why you and I met
under confusing puzzles of stars

tell me how “almost” counts…
