Tangled

What d’you conceal inside your stone heart?
I can not find the way to understand
That strange emotion, which tears my soul apart –
Dangerous need to see you once again.

And like a butterfly, tangled in spider’s web,
I try in vain to save myself from bale,
But all I’m doing – just approaching my death,
I’m slowly fading like a feeble candle’s flame…

My guiding star is vicious and so haughty,
So cruel and cynical it’s lurid loveliness;
Leads me astray, fills heart with emptiness;
Deceptive gloss I see – but flash is rotten.

Is it my curse or is it plague or fate?
It breaks my will; it takes away my faith;
It hurts too much, but pain just makes me feel;
This poison beauty beckons just to kill…
