Hymn

Oh, Beloved and Believing!
Word of Life in flesh and blood,
Easy, Open and Adored;
Oh, Son of God, the Living God!

Oh, my Lord, my loving Saviour!
You hear and heed my soul apart,
You know my sins, our Father praying,
 And most of all You know my heart!

You shelter us from stormy weather,
 Our protection from all fears;
As for one, as all together
You will keep us from all tears!

The Cross of sinners was too heavy,
Even for the Chosen Lamb;
But God's will was at Calvary,
And death died through that sweet Lamb!

You awoke my slumbring feelings;
The feet of faith forced me to go,
You lifted up my morbid spirit,
Your Holy Spirit made me go!

Through your own example dear,
You showed through your own fate
 What one can do who hears and heeds
 If he flies the wings of faith!

Of all the Kingdom ' s sons and daughters.
 You are, alone, most worthy Man,
 The highest one among the angels,
 And evermore at God's Right Hand!

Altar, Sacrifice and Temple,
David's root, Who came to stay,
Inexhaustible, God's candle
You broke the Veil on one dark Day!

You're our Victory and Hope,
 Light for all, one born again;
You have overflow the law,
Musty tomes were all in vain!

From ancient Abraham and David,
You carry forth to present day;
Your hand is ever forth as aid
To those of us who know your aim!

Better than rich myrrh and gold,
Ghost of smile on honeyed lips;
Earth, hell and Heaven bold
Call us to feast in grateful sips!

You are Alpha and Omega;
You were before all other Names;
You know my deepest soul and ego;
You say "I am He Who Is"!
