I miss you

Long absent, soon forgotten.
English proverb.

I miss you like deserts miss the rain,
Like winter nature misses the Sun,
Like a deserted platform misses a train,
Like solder’s mother misses her son.

I miss you like a guitar misses her bard,
Like prisoners miss their freedom,
Like a gambler misses his lucky card,
Like a stranger misses his kingdom.

Well, I am missing you terribly,
My lucky card, my bard, my Sun, my rain!
Time is a great healer, definitely,
And I know that my missing is vain.
