Thunderstorm

I stand alone among destroyed trees,
I’m scared seeing this prostrated greatness.
I have no one to come to people with,
And all my world - the world of washy shadows.

I have no rain to wash away my fear,
I have no thunder to talk down my screaming,
I have no sun to vaporize my tears,
I have no dreams that can be called unreal -

I have the lightning; I stood here long -
I saw the thunderbolt eliminating forest.
And feel the cruel pain will not be gone.
Absorbing fire tries to kill my soul.

And lightning in my mind - I know - exists,
It shows the way between the crys and doubts,
Illuminate the only truth I need.
This is my love. It is my hope and crown.

I stand alone among destroyed trees,
My heart is burning with the disappointment
But will not blench this ruinous disease,
Won’t bend, won’t break, but seek the life it wanted.
