Gods Tale

Once upon a time we were strongest Gods,
We fought the battles no-one could fight,
We could always have whatever we wanted,
We were above fate, we were above time.

But now we fell as the autumn leaves,
We died and then were reborn as slaves,
We used to be the Masters of thte Universe;
Now new Gods have taken our place.

But we are still standing, no matter what,
We remeber how high we used to fly.
We may be standing on our knees
But we still carry the burden of pride.

We rais our heads and scream to the skies:
'WE are the Saints, what YOU do is sin!'
But the new Gods cannot hear our words
That are gone with the winter wind.
