Lust - self-indulgent sexual desire
(personified as one of the mortal sins)
Sometimes we all desire someone’s flesh,
Yet we must not give in to these temptations;
However sweet, or beautiful, or fresh…
Craving’s a sin, it leaves you with damnation.
And although sometimes we may feel abused;
Why are we not allowed satisfaction?
Why can’t we let ourselves become seduced?
This torture of the flesh is but a fraction
Of what awaits you if you break the vow.
And yes, you may feel bad because you’re craving.
And yes, you could be making love right now.
But is it your soul that requires saving?
Pray every time you sin, for pray you must,
And pray for others, show your God you're kind.
If you don't fall to mortal sins like lust,
He'll give you eyes, where all the world is blind.
