I should've listened to the ocean
....................to myself
....................through emotion
....................on the cliff
But my attention span got shorter
With every year under my belt
My attitude went through the slaughter
And my desire, all that's left
And it won't last too long, I know
And I will listen like before
We're all just actors in this show
And it's my choice - play or ignore
It looks like world is full of puppets
But they shouldn't even talk
Their silence's worth a hundred nuggets
Shut up! Keep quiet! Take a walk!
I should've listened, maybe,sometimes
Like an exception to the rule
I'll try to do it every sunrise
It's like a dive into cold pool
I should've listened to my parents
There was a wisdom in their words
Majority still sound like parrots
And most of them deserve just nods
