Creatures in Masks
But they all prove to bore;
As soon as you get to the core –
Their essence turns easily dry.
And in my wanderings I’ve found:
The real life is not that real –
All that is human has a seal
Of man; to this I am not bound!
I wanted to invent a creature
So perfect, above-human, so high,
The one who would not kill and lie;
But recognized familiar features –
The ones we all in soul possess,
In our hearts, before the birth,
But we get spoilt since our first hearth,
And put on masks, I guess.
Only a few don’t feel temptation
To wear these masks all their way –
They don’t change roles day by day.
Those few is crown of creation!
