A second cousin of the lynx,
her gaze is lucent, with such eyes
as lead observers to surmise
she's been on earth for many lives.
The features of a feline sphinx
look unperturbed, without surprise
on human peccadilloes, wise
as seers revered by time's archives.
A queen, petite Egyptian minx,
she keeps her wits as keen as knives:
Who knows what Caesar's toga hides?
But she who's vigilant survives…
