Golden Age
No trouble lurked around
And every shepherd was a sage,
For good in wisdom bound.
The hearts of men were full and kind,
Weird things disturbed them not.
From earthly cage were freed their minds,
Engulfed in name of God.
The brooks were clear, the winds blew mild,
The stars were shining bright.
So why did people leave their guide?
For what prosperous sight?
They found pain, emerged in toil,
And realized regret.
They had to scarify the soil
And earn their daily bread.
Was lost for good their endless faith,
And love without a loss…
No profit got the human race
From breaking Edem’s clause!
