Black Boy

So much hate; so much racism in this world.
So much hidden and so much is untold.
Here is a story about a boy from Georgia,
The land of the old flag; Stars and Bars,
A place where a boy is now behind bars; he can’t reach the stars.
Not there because of the deed done wrong or right,
But because he is black and his parents are white.
Now they got him with the accusation of sexual,
The only difference is that all was consensual.
It all happened after school in class,
After school day ended and everyone had left.
A consensual relationship turned into a theft,
Stealing of a lifetime in a decade of debt.
The took away the chance of a life time,
All I can do is write this sad rhyme
About a boy wrongfully convicted,
A turn in a life no one predicted.
A bigot lawyer and the racist faces,
A meaningful life totally wasted.
A kid with a passion; a kid with a dream
That someday he could play on a football team.
All that he can do now is only cry
For the time he is doing without a crime.
One question in mind; how can things be this way
In a fools paradise; in the fucking USA?
