Egyptus
Running down the Earth,
Was finding out the thing,
He needed.
Egyptus
Shouted out the swearing,
From time to time
He had to stop.
Egyptus
Used to make the marks
Upon the burned up
Grey ground.
And so he stopped
To make the signs
Right on the places
For the peoples.
***
He needed fame.
And so he gained it,
By burning towns,
By taking lives,
By changing smiles
By vile sneering,
By living as unjust
And reckless…
As reckless,
As the king could be.
His fame was left
On Earth as horror,
As beaten truth,
As fragile life.
And nothing else
Since those times mattered,
For there was nobody alive,
With the exception
Of those creatures,
Who’d got their title
For theirs figures.
And so the title was
The “Man”.
