Corruption of the Nation
Not easily my decisions are made.
Steps are hard in the Big Apple,
My voice is not heard because the volume is low,
If you cannot read this; your mind won’t grow.
We are judged by the color of our skin
And not the to the extend of our character.
Maybe we can’t fulfill Martin Luther Kings’ dream
For which he died tragically.
Affirmative action is just a distraction,
A thick blindfold over our eyes.
It’s there so we won’t see the negative
That would lead to a certain demise.
Government is infiltrating our everyday lives,
Trying to control our everyday decisions.
But for what it’s worth
I’m not conforming to the vision
That our lives are controlled by another
Allegedly higher,
That doesn’t know any better.
I rather live my own credo
Not because I have to
But because I need to.
Government officials are not so inefficient
Political talk is just like pollution emission
Creating gray clouds of confusion
And I’m the handy man to repair this evil illusion.
